On 16th July, the 7.4km Omugenya -Odela district community access road in Awalwal Sub County was launched. The 7.4km road official launch was presided by the district RDC Patrick Okumu in the company of the district LC-5 Chairperson Simon Peter Edoru Ekuu, the CAO Soroti Luke L.L Lokuda. Denis Ocung, the district Engineer says the estimated cost Ushs 50,000,000 has been spent on Omungenya-Odela road which is of Road X-section, class 111 district road. The source of funding is Uganda Road Fund-URF.
